About Us
Finca Educativa Don Juan was born from the visionary spirit of its founder, Don Juan Castro, son of farmers from the La Fortuna de San Carlos area. Inspired by his rural roots and driven by his vocation as a teacher, Don Juan decided to study education, which later awakened in him the desire to unite his two great passions: agriculture and teaching.

Over time, this idea became a project that sought not only to cultivate the land, but also to sow knowledge and environmental awareness in new generations. To make it a reality, Don Juan made the courageous decision to leave his career in formal teaching and dedicate himself completely to making his dream come true. Thus, in 2002, he officially founded Finca Educativa Don Juan, a space where nature, education, and sustainability coexist in harmony, transmitting to every visitor a love for the land and the importance of experiential learning.
